What is considered failure to ask the court for a trial date in a timely manner in cal ud?

landlord filed the unlawful detainer complaint 03/14/11. one of thetenants was served and answeres w/i the 5 days allowed as of 4/26 the other tenant had not been served. landlord has not asked for a trial date...how long is to long and are there any rules on this can the first tenant get the ud dismissed for failure to askfor a trial date in a timely fashion los angeles ca
